Clemson’s Brayden Jacobs towers over father, ex-NFL RB Brandon Jacobs, in viral workout video
Brayden Jacobs, son of former NFL running back Brandon Jacobs, looks like he’s going to fit in just fine at the collegiate level.
His father, who played 9 seasons with the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers, was listed at 6-foot-4, 264 pounds during his playing days. But it’s clear he’s no match for his son, who stands at 6-foot-7, 320 pounds as he approaches his freshman season at Clemson.
The elder Jacobs posted a side-by-side video of the two working out on Tuesday night. Despite being one of the biggest running backs in recent NFL history, Jacobs’ son towers over him in the video. Here’s a clip:
Brayden Jacobs was a huge addition for Clemson in the class of 2025. He was the No. 178 overall player and the No. 19 offensive tackle in the country for that cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. Auburn, where Brandon Jacobs played in 2003, was among the many programs to offer Brayden a scholarship during his recruitment.
It remains to be seen where Jacobs will end up on Clemson’s depth chart to start the 2025 season. The Tigers bring back a lot of talent on their offensive line, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Jacobs begin the year as a reserve offensive tackle who may be called upon if injuries were to strike.
Clemson opens the 2025 season with LSU on Aug. 30.
