Coach of top-25 basketball team issues apology after using ‘inappropriate analogy’ in postgame speech

Creighton is the No. 14 team in the country in the latest AP Poll, and finds itself in second place to Villanova in the race for the Big East title.
However, on Feb. 27, the Blue Jays suffered a 77-69 loss on the road against Xavier. After that game, apparently, coach Greg McDermott used an analogy he wasn’t proud of.
As you can see below, he issued an apology on Twitter on Tuesday afternoon, saying his remarks were inappropriate and he’s sorry:

We’ll see if this situation impacts the Blue Jays players, as they face another tough test on Wednesday night when they travel to play No. 10 Villanova.
For now, though, McDermott is trying to make amends for what he said after the Xavier loss.
