LSU lost its second four-star recruit in two days when athlete Jacoby Stevens de-committed from the Tigers on Tuesday.

Stevens is rated the nation’s No. 3 athlete in the Class of 2017 by ESPN.

He said that the uncertainty surrounding head coach Les Miles and the LSU football program was a big reason why he has decided to look at other schools.

“As of right now, I have reopened my recruitment,” Stevens told 247Sports. “I envisioned myself playing under Les Miles, Coach Corey Raymond and having (director of player personnel) Austin Thomas there. With not knowing if they are going to be there, it just made sense for me to reopen my recruitment.”

“I have a ton of respect for Coach Miles, Coach Raymond and Austin Thomas. Those guys have been very good to me and have helped me a lot,” he added.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound athlete from Oakland High School in Nashville, Tenn. committed to LSU in September. He also had offers from a number of other schools, including Tennessee, Texas A&M and Alabama.

Stevens said he’d take another look at LSU once the school decides who its head coach will be next season.

“If Coach Miles is still there, then we will talk and get everything going again with recruiting,” said Stevens. “If they bring in a new coach and a new staff, then I will start to get to know them and start that process all over again.”

On Monday, quarterback Feleipe Franks de-committed from LSU. Franks is the No. 3 dual-threat quarterback in the Class of 2016, according to Rivals.
