Cole Cubelic’s SEC takeaways are a social media staple.
The busy SEC Network analyst finds time every Sunday to share his thoughts on how all the conference teams performed in their Saturday games. For Week 10, most of his followers won’t be reading them until Monday, since they dropped just before midnight on the East Coast. Week 10 had all 14 SEC teams in action, including a pair of games that could have shaken up the division races.
Here’s what Cubelic had to say:
ARKANSAS: Looked like a new group we’ve seen before. Misdirection, play action, tempo, quick game, Q run. All helped. QB legs make a big difference. Felt like he just said I got this late. . 5 obviously brings a great deal. Tackles struggled with speed. OL just beat up. 0 showed…

FLORIDA: 34 1 caused problems. 88 disrupted. 1 big time off edge. Played front side of the run fairly well. 17 saw things well it appeared. 7 was nice on off, not bad in pass pro either. Good cuts. 3 made big receptions. QB distributed well. Missed some shots. Kept plays alive.…

KENTUCKY: Needed that one. Stoops told us they were in a pit & only way out was to fight their way out. They did. Big win in lots of ways. Don’t press. Both sides had good feel for game & stayed necessary. 77 was solid up front. 0 had a good game in backfield. Got looks through…

MISSISSIPPI STATE: Rough night. Great atmosphere. Cool to see 98 team come out with Jackie. Couldn’t lean on the run. Liked how the playmakers were targeted early. Just no rhythm. Protection breakdowns hurt. Thought 69 & 64 did some nice work. Pick 6was back breaker. Receivers…

OLE MISS: Another win not exactly according to plan or in a familiar way. Def was aggressive. Won up front. 89 nice with hands, huge game. 99 was in backfield. 23 active. Tackled well for the most part. Not much YAC. Cut backs got them a few times. 13 was an animal! Limited…

TENNESSEE: Handled their business. Ran the offense. QB made good decisions, took check downs, added runs. Don’t get carried away. Found explosives. 0 continues to impress. WRs had plenty of room. Center played well. OL gave a little pressure later. TEs great with inserts again,…

VANDERBILT: Going backwards n some ways. Defensive front was feast or famine with movement/stunts. 2nd & 3rd level did not tackle as well up the middle early. Made some plays out wide. Run fits off early. 29 rushed passer well. Love the effort from 10. Backs ran hard. Good plan…
