College football rankings: AP Top 25 prediction in Week 13

Like many great underdogs, Team Chaos looked strong out of the gate Saturday in Week 12, but ultimately faded, losing out to Chalk.

No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Clemson and No. 4 Michigan all got off to slow starts, particularly in the first half, but – spoiler alert – there won’t be any shakeups in the top four.

The most significant shuffling will come as the result of No. 7 West Virginia falling at unranked Oklahoma State 45-41 along with No. 12 Syracuse losing at No. 3 Notre Dame, 36-3.

WVU probably won’t fall too far. Oklahoma State does not have a great record, but Mike Gundy’s squad has shown itself to be competitive against strong opponents all season. It’s only the second loss for a Mountaineers team that will only play 12 games in the regular season due to having a game against NC State cancelled due to Hurricane Florence.

Losers to higher-ranked teams such as Syracuse, Iowa State and Cincinnati will fall, but probably remain ranked. At this point in the season, that aren’t many teams knocking on the door to get in the AP Top 25. Army, at 9-2, however, is probably one of those teams and Boston College should get bounced after falling to unranked Florida State.
