The Chuckster is coming home. Hall of Fame NBA player and proud Auburn alum Charles Barkley will be the celebrity guest picker on College GameDay this weekend for the Iron Bowl, which is being played on the Plains.
ESPN GameDay host Rece Davis announced the news Tuesday night during the latest College Football Playoff rankings reveal.
Barkley was already scheduled to be on Auburn’s campus for the unveiling of his statue.

The winner of the game will be crowned SEC West champion and punches its ticket to Atlanta for the 2017 SEC Championship Game to face SEC East champion Georgia. Alabama is currently listed as a four-point favorite in the Iron Bowl. Alabama has won three consecutive games in the series, with its latest loss to Auburn coming in 2013 following the infamous “Kick Six” play.
