College GameDay was in Arlington, Texas Saturday for the Big 12 Championship Game showdown between TCU and Kansas State. The crew picked all the conference championship games, including the SEC title clash between No. 1 Georgia and No. 14 LSU.
Rece Davis, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit were joined by Hall of Famer LaDainian Tomlinson, whose No. 5 is retired at TCU, as the celebrity guest picker for Saturday’s show.
Here’s how they picked the SEC Championship Game:
- Howard: Georgia
- McAfee: Georgia
- Tomlinson: Georgia
- Corso: Georgia
- Herbstreit: Georgia
Georgia enters the game as a multi-touchdown favorite and a presumed lock to make the College Football Playoff regardless of the outcome, having already won 12 games. The Bulldogs, though, have plenty of motivation. UGA is looking for its first SEC title since 2017, coming up short in its last 3 conference championship games (2018, 2019, 2021).
LSU will look to play spoiler as a massive underdog after falling to 9-3 following last week’s upset loss at Texas A&M.
The game is set for 4 p.m. ET, airing on CBS.
