Conner Weigman pumped some life into Kyle Field with an impressive scoring drive to open his first start as Texas A&M’s starting quarterback.
He took the Texas A&M offense all the way down the field for an 8-play, 77-yard touchdown drive in the first possession of his first career start.
Facing a fourth down and 1, Weigman found Moose Muhammad III in the back of the end zone to answer Ole Miss’ opening score.
Weigman, a 5-star prospect coming out of high school in Cypress, Texas, got his first dose of action last week late in the South Carolina game when Haynes King went out with a shoulder injury.
A 2022 Under Armour All-American, Weigman as a senior led Bridgeland to the 6A Region II championship game, and has drawn plenty of attention in recent weeks as the Aggies’ offense has sputtered.
He has started 5-for-5 in the game.
