The cover of EA Sports College Football 27’s Deluxe Edition has been leaked, and so college football fans who are trying like crazy to get through the long offseason now have something exciting to look at as they wish for the 2026 season to get here as soon as possible.
The leak that fans are likely very thankful for can be traced to the Xbox Store, whose listing showed the upcoming cover for EA Sports’ deluxe edition.
Naturally, current college football royalty is on full display on the leaked cover, with 1 very prominent head coach joining those star players. And not surprisingly, that head coach is Indiana’s Curt Cignetti, who led the Hoosiers on a historical national championship ride last fall (and winter). IU went 16-0 in winning it all during the 2025 season, and Cignetti is now college football royalty himself, as the leaked EA Sports cover shows.
Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, who decided to spurn the NFL Draft this spring to return to Eugene for another season, was 1 of the standout players to be featured on the gaming cover. Another Big Ten star quarterback, USC’s Jayden Maiava, joined Moore on the cover, so the Big Ten is well-represented, as expected.
But there is also some SEC talent being featured on the cover, led by Ole Miss stud running back Kewan Lacy and Texas standout linebacker Colin Simmons.
Here are some other names that will be featured on the deluxe edition cover:
While college football’s current cast of stars gets the cover treatment from EA Sports, there is a College Football Playoff to be staged in 2026. Here is what the Kalshi market is currently saying about the elite teams it feels have the best shot to be playing for a national championship this fall (and winter):
