Dabo Swinney shredded on social media after Clemson crushed by Georgia

Dabo Swinney is a highly accomplished coach. Under Swinney, Clemson became a regular presence in the College Football Playoff, winning multiple national championships. Swinney, though, can’t figure out Georgia. UGA has now won the last 3 meetings (2014, 2021 and 2024).
No. 14 Clemson had no answer for No. 1 Georgia on Saturday in Atlanta, falling 34-3. The Bulldogs were expected to win, but the betting line at most sportsbooks was right about 2 touchdowns, in the 12.5-13.5 range in the leadup to the game and before kickoff.
As one might expect, Swinney is getting absolutely cooked on social media after the Tigers’ latest loss to the Dawgs. A common zinger has been that Swinney’s squads may not be too special without NFL talents at quarterback like Deshaun Watson and Trevor Lawrence. Swinney’s reluctance to embrace the transfer portal and NIL also makes him a target for criticism.

Dabo Swinney ‘s refusal to use the transfer portal, negative stance toward NIL is on full display today.
The talent Georgia has compared to Clemson is night and day.

Dabo Swinney not adapting to the modern way of college football is strange and incredibly stubborn. He can hate the portal and NIL, but you aren’t gonna compete for titles if you don’t make that apart of your program.

Clemson used to be Georgia not that long ago. Through stubbornness and inability to adapt, Dabo Swinney has done this to his program. You could see today coming three years ago and he never did anything to change the course.

We’ll see if Clemson can bounce back and turn things around in ACC play. If not, it could be a long season for Swinney.
