Da’Jon Terry is headed to Oklahoma.

The former Vol pass rusher committed to the Sooners on Friday morning. The news comes just 1 week after he entered the transfer portal.

Here’s his announcement:

Terry made a big impact at Tennessee during his time with the Vols. Over the last 2 seasons, he was credited with 6 tackles for loss and 3 sacks.

In 2022, Terry recorded 16 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 2 sacks for the Vols. His 2 sacks came in victories over Florida and Kentucky last season. He was expected to have a similar role for Tennessee in 2023 before he entered the portal.

Terry began his career in the Big 12 with Kansas. He transferred to Tennessee ahead of the 2021 season.

Oklahoma has brought in 8 transfers on the defensive side of the ball so far this offseason, including several defensive lineman. That’s an area the Sooners are hoping to make big strides in during Brent Venables’ 2nd season in charge.
