While former Mississippi State QB Dak Prescott was redshirting during his freshman season in Starkville in 2011, he had the pleasure of watching star DT Fletcher Cox lead a stout Bulldog defense.
Now, Cox is a standout for the Philadelphia Eagles and Prescott is a Rookie-of-the-Year favorite for the Dallas Cowboys.
Before the two teams square off on Sunday Night Football this weekend, Prescott had some praise for his former teammate:
Prescott called #Eagles Fletcher Cox a freak at Miss St. Said they ran the same 40 time there. Had no idea how a guy that size could do that

Whether or not Cox and his teammates can get pressure on Prescott will likely be one of the deciding factors in the game between the 5-1 Cowboys and 4-2 Eagles.
Cox has four sacks and a forced fumble this season. He’ll need to add to those totals for the Eagles to pull off the upset.
