Dan Lanning shares appreciation for Luke Combs following Oregon’s win over BYU

Dan Lanning appreciates Luke Combs for his pick of Oregon on ESPN’s “College GameDay” Saturday morning.
Oregon made Combs’ pick stand out with a 41-20 win over BYU, and the new Oregon coach sent a message after the game. “Appreciate you Luke! Welcome in Eugene anytime!,” Lanning wrote on social media.
During the picks segment, Combs served as the guest picker for the popular pregame show that was on site at Appalachian State, Combs’ alma mater.
“Oregon man, real tough game against Georgia,” Combs said. “They absolutely have to have this game, I think it’s a dog fight, but I take the Ducks.”
The graphic was incorrect with Kirk Herbstreit’s pick, as he went with the Ducks as well.
Herbstreit said, “I was hoping it was going to be all BYU and I was going to pick Oregon. I’m going with Dan Lanning, a team that everybody’s forgotten about the debacle against Georgia. Their defense at Autzen (Stadium), I think could be the difference.”
