In the words of the Dropkick Murphys’ 2006 hit song, Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen is “shipping up to Boston.”
Mullen is participating in Monday’s Boston Marathon as a means for raising money for charity, as well as fulfilling a lifelong goal.
The Bulldogs coach capped off spring practice with Saturday’s Maroon and White game, and by Sunday morning he was on a plane northbound.

Mississippi State recently put out a really nice video on Mullen’s decision to run the world-famous marathon.
Check it out:
"We're helping other people live their dreams."
