Dan Mullen names SEC team among top performers from Week 8

Dan Mullen spotlighted an SEC team among his weekly list of top performers following Week 8’s college football games.

LSU was one of 5 teams on Mullen’s list this time around. Thanks to a terrific performance by Jayden Daniels, the Tigers outscored Ole Miss 28-0 in the 2nd half and won 45-20. LSU has now won 2 straight and head into a bye week before facing Alabama on Nov. 5.

Outside the SEC, Oregon, Clemson, TCU, and Oklahoma State received a nod from Mullen.

First-year head coach Dan Lanning and Oregon have won 6 in a row after defeating previously unbeaten UCLA, with the Ducks’ only loss coming to Georgia, Lanning’s former program, in the season-opener. Clemson staged a 4th-quarter comeback in a battle of undefeated ACC teams and beat Syracuse, while TCU moved to 7-0 under Sonny Dykes by beating Kansas State. Finally, Oklahoma State topped Texas in come-from-behind fashion.
