Dan Mullen has officially joined ESPN as a studio analyst, Brett McMurphy of the Action Network reported, as the former Florida and Mississippi State has landed his first job outside of coaching. He previously worked as a guest analyst at ESPN at the end of last season.

Mullen, who was fired as Florida’s head coach in November, previously contributed to ESPN and the SEC Network’s coverage of the Crimson Tide and Bulldogs’ game in December’s SEC Championship Game, and also the national championship game.

Mullen finished 34-15 over 4 seasons at Florida that included a trip to the SEC Championship Game 2 years ago, and 3 New Year’s Six bowls. Florida fired Mullen after his sixth loss in 9 games, and 2 months after the Gators went toe-to-toe with defending national champion Alabama and a year after they had a chance to make the College Football Playoff.
