Dan Mullen had a rather surprising team at No. 2 in his updated top 25 he posted to Twitter on Monday.
Georgia is No. 1 in Mullen’s rankings, as expected, after a grind-it-out win at Kentucky. But instead of Ohio State and Michigan at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively, he has TCU at No. 2 ahead of both the Buckeyes and Wolverines following a close call against Baylor.
On top of that, Mullen only dropped Tennessee to No. 7 after having them at No. 5 a week ago, despite a blowout loss at South Carolina on Saturday.
Among other SEC programs, the former Mississippi State and Florida head coach put LSU at No. 8 and Alabama at No. 9. Ole Miss (No. 15), South Carolina (No. 23), and Mississippi State (No. 25) rounded out the SEC schools this week.
