Mississippi State fell to 2-5 on the season with yet another devastating, last-second loss.

This time, the victorious squad was SEC East rival Kentucky, who kicked a 51-yard field goal on the last play of the game to clinch a 40-38 win.

Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen was distraught after the loss and his postgame press conference was a somber affair.
