Dan Mullen has revealed how he ranks the top college football teams at the end of the 2023 season. Ahead of Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship, Mullen shared his final top 25 on social media.
Many SEC fans will take issue with Mullen’s rankings of Nos. 3-6. Mullen slots Florida State at No. 3 despite the Seminoles’ 63-3 loss to Georgia in the Orange Bowl. UGA, meanwhile, is Mullen’s No. 6 team, behind No. 4 Texas and No. 5 Alabama.
Though he did not consider the results of the Orange Bowl, Mullen does recognize bowl wins for Ole Miss, Missouri, LSU and Tennessee. The former SEC coach has Ole Miss and Mizzou in the top 10, ahead of Ohio State.
