The Georgia Bulldogs have had a somewhat lackluster game against Georgia Tech.

The Dawgs are currently leading the Yellow Jackets 31-7 midway through the third quarter; however, running back D’Andre Swift was hammered near the goal line, fumbled the ball and left the game due to an injury. Swift stayed down on the play in quite a bit of pain, and he appeared to be holding his left arm motionless as he walked off the field and straight into the medical tent.

Swift has fumbled twice Saturday against the Yellow Jackets. Following the injury, the Georgia running back was seen on the sideline without his shoulder pads.

Swift has rushed 10 times for 73 yards against the Yellow Jackets. With the SEC Championship Game looming against LSU, Georgia certainly hopes Swift’s injury is nothing major.

ESPN reported that Swift injured his left shoulder on the hit. Kirby Smart will certainly be asked about Swift’s status after the game.

Saturday Down South will update this breaking news story as new information is released.
