Could there be a new entry into the Auburn quarterback competition?
According to a tweet from ESPN’s Chris Low, that’s at least a possibility.
Former Texas Tech QB Davis Webb is expected to visit Auburn.
He’s a graduate transfer, which means he’d be eligible to compete immediately for the Tigers.
If he were to join Gus Malzahn’s team, he’d be in competition with transfer John Franklin III, as well as returning QBs Sean White and Jeremy Johnson.
Webb threw for 5,557 yards and 46 touchdowns during his three seasons with the Red Raiders, but fell behind Patrick Mahomes on the Texas Tech depth chart last season.
He threw for just 300 yards on 41 pass attempts in 2015.
Texas Tech grad transfer QB Davis Webb told colleague @Jake_Trotter today that he plans to visit Auburn. Would be eligible immediately.
