Dawgs’ 2019 class takes a hit as top Peach State native Rashad Cheney decommits from Georgia

You know Georgia’s 2019 recruiting class is stacked when it loses a four-star prospect but Kirby Smart and his staff still have three five-stars and four four-stars committed in the next recruiting cycle. That’s the life Georgia is currently living.

Not all the news on the recruiting can be good for the Dawgs as Rashad Cheney has dropped his commitment to Georgia.

The 6-foot-3, 270-pound 2019 defensive lineman out from Cedar Grove is rated as the No. 13 defensive tackle in the nation and No. 191 overall prospect in the nation for 2019 according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. He currently has offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Ole Miss and South Carolina.

Chad Simmons of Rivals broke the news of Cheney’s decommitment. Cheney has since retweeted this Simmons’ tweet:
