Deion Sanders, Colorado beat out numerous SEC programs for 4-star ATH out of Georgia

Deion Sanders went into SEC country and landed a sought-after prospect for his Colorado program.

The Buffaloes landed a Thanksgiving pledge from Kamron Mikell, a blue-chip recruit out of Georgia. Mikell called Coach Prime during his commitment announcement to let him know he was pledging to Colorado over Georgia, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and others.

A Statesboro standout, Mikell is listed as measuring 6-1, 181 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Mikell is rated 4-stars, the No. 6 ATH, No. 14 player in the state of Georgia and No. 104 prospect overall in the Class of 2024.

Sanders and his staff sealed the deal when Mikell made it out to Boulder earlier this month for a campus visit.

With a Composite score of 0.9496, Mikell is the highest-rated of Colorado’s 10 verbal pledges. Fans can get a preview of what he brings to the Buffs by checking out his highlights below, via Hudl:
