Lane Kiffin has reportedly fired one of his defensive coaches at Ole Miss
After just one season with the Rebels, defensive line coach Deke Adams is expected to be leaving the Ole Miss program.
Lane Kiffin hired Adams after the defensive line coach worked as Mississippi State’s defensive line coach in 2019.
News of Adams’ dismissal in Oxford comes from Ole Miss insider and OM Spirit writer for 247Sports David Johnson.
This move shouldn’t come as much of a surprise as Ole Miss had the worst rush defense in the SEC after allowing just over 211 rushing yards per game in 2020. The Rebels also had just 14 sacks on the season — only Kentucky (12) had fewer sacks this fall.
No replacement for Adams has been named at this point in Oxford.
