During his college career, former Auburn DL Derrick Brown squared off against Oregon’s Justin Herbert, Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa and LSU’s Joe Burrow.

In the 2020 NFL Draft, Burrow was the No. 1 overall pick, Tua was No. 5, Herbert was No. 6 and Brown went No. 7 overall.

Now with the Carolina Panthers, the rookie defensive lineman was asked by “Good Morning Football” to name the quarterback he thought would have the best rookie season. Brown couldn’t choose, but he did have praise for all 3 quarterbacks:

“Justin, he’s big, he’s got a strong arm. Joe’s got that fire in him. And you know Tua. He makes magic happen. So it’s those little things. They’ve each got their own little flair about them. I don’t really think you can separate the 3 of them.”

The Panthers invested heavily in their defense during the draft, with Brown as the crown jewel of the class.

Will he be able to help slow down some of the talented quarterbacks in the league? We’ll find out starting this fall.
