Former LSU RB Derrius Guice was the SEC’s biggest faller in the NFL Draft.
Guice, who undoubtedly has first-round talent, fell to the Washington Redskins in the second round Friday night. Three other SEC backs were picked ahead of Guice in the first two days: Sony Michel, Nick Chubb and Kerryon Johnson.
Some projected Guice to be drafted by the Eagles, who had the last pick of the first round; instead, the Ravens traded for the pick and took QB Lamar Jackson.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Saturday that Guice had a “shouting match” with the Philadelphia Eagles during his visit, and one member from the Eagles said it was “the worst meeting they’ve ever had with a player.”
