Details released following Marlon Humphrey’s recent arrest in Tuscaloosa
Marlon Humphrey apparently went to jail over a phone charger.
The former Alabama standout defensive back was arrested in Tuscaloosa Thursday and charged with third-degree robbery charges. Now a member of the Baltimore Ravens, Humphrey returned to his college town recently and allegedly had a minor altercation with an Uber driver, which later led to his arrest.
Jay Barker of WJOX 94.5 FM in Birmingham tweeted out this information following news of Humphrey’s arrest:
From a good source with knowledge of the situation, they are saying that Marlon accidentally took a phone charger from an Uber driver’s car when he got out and now driver has filed charges. May be more info coming but this is what we are hearing right now.

Barker’s information was backed up by Stephanie Taylor of The Tuscaloosa News. Taylor tweeted out a picture of what appears to be the police report following the incident, which took place Jan. 13. The value of the property stolen is listed as $15 here.
The report also claims Humphrey elbowed then threatened the Uber driver after refusing to return his cell phone charger
Here's the info about why Marlon Humphrey is charged with robbery. An Uber driver was giving Humphrey and three women a ride to a hotel, said Humphrey asked to borrow a charger but refused to return it before elbowing him in the side. Charger didn't fit Humphrey's phone. pic.twitter.com/htNsHbuT74
