The younger Kirkpatrick also projects to be a defensive back. Out of Gadsden City (Alabama), Dre Jr. is a 3-star prospect in the Class of 2024 on the 247Sports Composite. He picked up scholarship offers from 13 schools during his recruitment.
Dre Sr. played in the NFL from 2012-to-2021, spending time with the Cincinnati Bengals, Arizona Cardinals and San Francisco 49ers. Tide fans are hoping that Dre Jr. shows pro potential during his college career.
