Dylan Disu has been on a heater in the month of March.
The former Vanderbilt center transfer is one of the top reasons the Longhorns are still dancing, faced with a favorable field to do the improbable and potentially win it all. However, Disu injured his foot (bone bruise) against Penn State and played just 2 minutes against Xavier Friday. Heading into Sunday’s game, Disu was listed as questionable.
A school spokesman updated that report slightly Saturday, saying he is day to day and his status likely will not be determined until pregame warmups.
Texas’ Dylan Disu (foot) remains day-to-day & his status for Sunday against Miami will “probably not be determined until pregame warmups”, per a school spokesman. Only played two minutes against Xavier.
Averaged 23.5 PPG & 10 RPG in the first two games of the NCAA Tournament.

As you can see, Disu is averaging a double double in the NCAA Tournament. He’s been playing the best basketball of his career since the Big 12 tournament, dropping 28 against Penn State, 17 against Colgate and 18 in the Big 12 championship game against Kansas.
It goes without saying that’s a player the Longhorns need if winning the title is to be achieved. With the way Miami is playing, the Longhorns will need everyone in their arsenal ready to go.
We’ll see if he’s ready to go by Sunday. The game between the Longhorns and Hurricanes is set for 5:05 ET on CBS.
