Dylan Lonergan, 4-star 2023 QB, announces SEC commitment

Dylan Lonergan is taking his talents to Tuscaloosa. The blue-chip quarterback out of Georgia announced his commitment to the Crimson Tide during a Monday ceremony broadcast live on the CBS Sports HQ streaming channel.
Out of Brookwood in Snellville, Georgia, Lonergan is a 4-star prospect listed at 6-2, 215 pounds. He picked up 26 scholarship offers and narrowed his options down to a final 3 of Alabama, South Carolina and Stanford.

Lonergan also plans to play baseball at Alabama. He told CBS Sports HQ that his goal is to help UA win national championships in both sports.
On the 247Sports Composite, Lonergan is the No. 9 quarterback and No. 93 prospect overall in the class of 2023. Alabama also has a commitment from the No. 8 QB in the class, Eli Holstein. 247Sports recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfong noted on CBS Sports HQ that Alabama is looking to restock the quarterback room with Bryce Young’s expected departure after the 2022 season.
