Dylan Raiola made headlines across college football on Monday when the 5-star QB and No. 1 recruit in the Class of 2024 announced a commitment to Georgia.

And that caused many, including former Georgiq QB Aaron Murray, to weigh in on how Raiola’s addition would impact the Georgia QBs in 2024, including with Carson Beck coming out a projected strong 2023 campaign.

“The rich get richer,” Murray said. “… Man that quarterback room is going to be stacked next year. I think Carson’s good enough to go one and done. I think he’s going to have a massive year, so he may be out of there. But Gunner (Stockton), Brock (Vandagriff), now Dylan, I don’t — eh. I don’t think you can keep all 3 of them heading into the 2024 season. So big decisions coming up for all these young kids. But a massive get for Kirby (Smart) as he continues to dominate the recruiting. It’s good to be a Damn Good Dawg. Welcome to the family, man.”

Vandagriff faced questions this spring already about transferring after Beck exited spring as the frontrunner for the job.

Georgia seemingly annually has questions at quarterback, and with a competition, especially during the Smart era. While this year appears to be settled, the questions will come early and often about 2024 projections and expectations.
