Ole Missed: Mississippi State shares Egg Bowl radio broadcast of game-defining missed extra point
Yes, that really did happen.
In case you thought you dreamt it, or were perhaps having a turkey-induced trip, Ole Miss kicker Luke Logan did in fact miss the extra point with four seconds remaining in the Egg Bowl. That point was ultimately the difference in Mississippi State’s 21-20 win over Ole Miss.
Of course, the extra point had been pushed back 15 yards after Ole Miss receiver Elijah Moore’s 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty for mocking the Bulldogs when he mimicked a dog peeing in the end zone leading up to the kick.
Pushing the extra point back was just enough for Logan to miss the kick, as featured in the video below, which includes the Mississippi State radio call of the game.
