Eli Drinkwitz issues statement on Steve Wilks returning to NFL

Eli Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers are looking for a new defensive coordinator after Steve Wilks accepted an NFL job on Wednesday.
Wilks is heading back to Charlotte as a member of the Carolina Panthers’ staff, where he’ll serve under head coach Matt Rhule as the team’s secondary coach.
On Wednesday afternoon, Drinkwitz issued a statement thanking Wilks for his year as Mizzou’s defensive coordinator:

We’ll see where the Tigers turn for their next defensive coordinator now that Wilks is heading back to the NFL.
