As the SEC continues to move toward Week 1 of the modified 2020 season on Sept. 26, a number of programs are still dealing with COVID-19 cases among players.

One of those teams is the Missouri Tigers, who are located in an area experiencing an outbreak of positive cases of the virus.

On Tuesday, first-year coach Eli Drinkwitz revealed that the Tigers are dealing with 4 positive cases of COVID-19 and have 14 total players out because of contact tracing:

There’s still time for all involved to recover from the virus and get through quarantine procedures before Week 1, so we’ll see what happens with the program moving forward.

After a long weekend for Labor Day, we’ll see if cases continue to rise in mid-Missouri.
