Eli Ricks was a star cornerback for LSU the past couple of years. But, he had yet to get a chance to wear the iconic No. 7 jersey for the Tigers.
Though it doesn’t carry the same meaning in Tuscaloosa, Ricks is apparently going to don that number for the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2022.
As you can see below, he sent out a simple tweet with the number on Wednesday afternoon:

Ricks burst onto the scene as a true freshman in 2020 for LSU, recording 20 tackles, 4 interceptions (2 returned for a touchdown) an 5 pass breakups in 8 games. In 6 games in 2021, he recorded 11 tackles, 1 pick and 1 pass breakup.
We’ll see how he fares in Tuscaloosa in 2022 and beyond.
