The Channelview, Texas native is rated the No. 9 dual-threat pass in the country for 2016 and the No. 277 overall athlete in his class according to 247Sportss Composite rankings. He committed to Alabama over finalists Texas A&M and Florida.
As a junior last season, Hurts tallied over 3,000 yards of total offense and registered 40 touchdowns. He is the Crimson Tide’s 11th verbal commit in next year’s class.
