Enough for No. 1? Fans, media react to Bryce Young’s NFL Combine measurements
By Ethan Stone
Published:
Bryce Young weighed in at 204 pounds, standing at 5-foot-10 in the NFL Combine measurements Saturday morning. His numbers are eerily similar to Kyler Murray, though his weight is higher than most expected. There is a tradeoff, however, with his height being lower than listed at Alabama, which was 6-feet even.
204 pounds is also 10 pounds heavier than what Alabama listed him at, a fact some are pointing to as potential water weight. Fans and media took to social media Saturday following Young’s measurements reveal, giving their take on where Young will be drafted in just under 2 months, as well as his potential efficacy in the NFL.
We’re in for a wild next few weeks, folks.
Make the mistake of passing on Bryce Young at your own expense…. ??♂️ https://t.co/SvIEHGX55f

Bryce Young will be sooo much better than Kyler ever thought about being… I’m not worried about his height at all.

Bryce Young’s size is a non factor. He played against elite talent his whole time at Alabama and balled out. People want to talk about how great Georgia’s defense was in 2021, but they don’t mention that in 2 matchups Bryce was 61/109 6 touchdowns, 1 pick, and 794 yards. pic.twitter.com/hnt8CXJbaE

If he was 204lbs he would literally look obese. That’s a blatant lie. Stop it.

While Bryce Young came in at 204 pounds, I still have a hard time seeing him as the number one pick. His lack of height is a concern as is the fact he has battled injuries at Alabama.

People have been watching Russell Wilson find success in the league for the past 10 years and yet they’re still unsure if Bryce Young is tall enough for the NFL?

Alabama wins 6 games without him last year…and that’s not a dig at the Tide that’s respect to how damn good Bryce Young really is. He masked a *ton*
He is outstanding.

Bryce Young is 5-10, 204. Here’s every quarterback 6-0, 210 or smaller. Let me be the first to make the Sid Luckman comp. pic.twitter.com/EGF8zSqawE

The way I see it, the #Panthers have a rare opportunity to draft QB1.
Perfect storm: Carolina is desperate for a young QB. The team drafting No. 1 doesn’t need one AND is shopping the pick.
Ultimately it comes down to the Bears, but I’d risk it all for Bryce Young.
