ESPN college football analyst Bill Connelly revealed his updated tier system for College Football Playoff contenders after Week 10 of the 2025 season.
With the first College Football Playoff rankings of the season set to be released on Tuesday night, it’s that time of the year to buckle up and pay attention because the games are dwindling. For Connelly, Sunday’s updated tiers didn’t change much in Week 10, and Tier 1 revealed 3 behemoths that Connelly believes have the best chance at this point to make the Playoff.
There’s 1 SEC team in that elite trio, and for Connelly that team is No. 3 Texas A&M, which is 8-0 and had a bye in Week 10. While the Aggies were watching the action around the country, their position in Connelly’s tier system stayed strong, with the analyst giving Texas A&M average Playoff odds of 95.7% using a combination of ESPN’s Playoff Predictor and SP+ projections.
The Aggies were joined in Tier 1 by top-ranked and defending national champion Ohio State as well as No. 2 Indiana.
Texas A&M will have its work cut out for it in Week 11 as it returns to action, with the Aggies traveling to Columbia to face No. 19 Mizzou in a 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC.
