ESPN’s College GameDay took home one of the nine Sports Emmys claimed by the network Tuesday night in New York.
The “wake up, it’s Saturday” staple, a lighthearted show which has set up the day’s college football action since 1987, won its third consecutive — and sixth overall — Emmy for Outstanding Weekly Studio Show.
For the third year running, College GameDay has won the Emmy for Outstanding Weekly Studio Show.

Impressively, the win gives ESPN 19 Emmys for Outstanding Studio Show – a combination of both daily and weekly.
Led by host Rece Davis with Kirk Herbstreit, Desmond Howard, Lee Corso, and Samantha Ponder as serving as his co-hosts, College GameDay has become a must-watch event for every Saturday morning leading up to each and every weekend slate of games.
The 2016 season will be no different.
