ESPN has updated its Football Power Index (FPI) after an exciting Week 4 around the world of college football.
In the latest FPI rankings, the top 4 looks the same from the previous. Oregon was the only top-4 team in action, as Ohio State, Georgia and Alabama all had bye weeks. The Ducks may not have covered the spread against Oregon State, but the FPI was satisfied enough to keep Dan Lanning’s team at No. 1.
The first change in the rankings comes at No. 5. Texas moved up 1 spot to re-enter the top 5 with a 55-0 win over Sam Houston.
Behind the Longhorns are the Indiana Hoosiers, who moved up 10 spots with a blowout of Illinois. Another notable mover in the rankings is Vanderbilt. The Commodores climbed 6 spots to No. 15 after a blowout win over Georgia State to improve to 4-0.
