One of the more intriguing matchups on deck for Week 6 of SEC action is the face-off between the No. 9 Texas Longhorns and the Florida Gators down in Gainesville.

The Longhorns soundly defeated the Gators last season at home, 49-17, but now they’ll be heading into the Swamp with an offense that is still struggling to find an identity.

On the other sideline, embattled Florida head coach Billy Napier is now more than likely coaching to save his job, which could mean that the Gators come out with a bit more fight than usual.

All of these storylines will be on full display Saturday afternoon, and the crew over on ESPN’s Get Up made their picks for who they see winning on Thursday morning.

“There’s a lot that remains to be seen from Texas, and what we’ve seen so far from Florida has been very underwhelming,” college football analyst Josh Pate said. “Billy Napier is still the coach there, and he’s got an opportunity to resurrect the nose-dive. But for Arch Manning, if they’re going to be a title contender, then this is where that journey has to start.”

All that being said, Pate still picked the Gators to come out on top in upset fashion in this monster showdown, while Taylor Lewan, Will Compton and Mike Greenberg rolled with the Longhorns to get the job done.

If Pate’s selection ends up being correct, then it will be one of the biggest upsets of the season thus far, and more than likely buy Napier a couple more weeks.

Conversely, another loss for Longhorns will officially put their season on the brink, as they will have no further margin for error moving forward if they want to make the College Football Playoff.
