One of the biggest matchups on deck for Week 8 of SEC action is the top-10 showdown between the No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs and the No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels between the hedges at Sanford Stadium.

These 2 SEC powerhouses will be meeting up for a game that is sure to have a ton of SEC Championship game and College Football Playoff seeding implications down the line.

College football analyst Josh Pate and Taylor Lewan and Will Compton of the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast joined Mike Greenberg on ESPN’s Get Up Thursday morning, and they all made their picks for who will come out on top in this pivotal midseason SEC tilt.

Both Pate and Compton picked the Dawgs to come out on top in front of their home crowd, with Compton citing the Georgia home-field advantage as a key to the game for the Bulldogs. Pate said that Ole Miss has the potential to run away with it if Georgia allows them to build a first-half lead, but he’s sticking with the Dawgs for now. Pate noted he likes Ole Miss to cover and gave the Rebels a shot at the outright win.

Lewan, on the other hand, went with the Rebels, pointing to their offense.

“I like Ole Miss in this game,” Lewan said. “They (Georgia) are 1-3 in their last 4 after the first quarter, and that’s really easy to come back from when you’re playing against an Auburn, or the Volunteers, but those are some of the worst secondaries in all of college football. You’re playing a team now that can get ahead of you, and when you try to push the ball downfield, Ole Miss’ secondary is really good.”
