The bad news from Bristol continues as one prominent name after another publicly announce their firing from ESPN. If you are unaware of the situation, the sports media giant has begun to cut massive payroll by letting go some of the best people that work for the company. It’s believed around 100 employees will be let go today.

Among the surprise cuts was college football insider Brett McMurphy, who announced his firing Wednesday. Joining his name to the growing list is former Florida State quarterback Danny Kanell. Kanell announced the news on Twitter.

Kanell appears to be taking the tough news as well as can be expected. At times like these, it’s often hard to focus on the positives in life, but it doesn’t look like you can count the former FSU quarterback among that class.

We hope all the ESPN employees laid off today can find work as soon as possible.
