8 SEC teams ranked in ESPN’s updated top 25 after Week 1

The AP Top 25 won’t come out until Tuesday this week due to Notre Dame’s game on Monday.

However, ESPN updated its Football Power Index Sunday morning, and eight SEC teams cracked the top 25.

Alabama, LSU and Georgia all ranked in the top 25, with Auburn and Florida also cracking the top 10. Texas A&M sat just outside the top 10 at No. 11. Mississippi State and South Carolina rounded out the top 25.

Of these eight teams, South Carolina lost Saturday to North Carolina in a head-scratcher.
