ESPN’s College Football Playoff Predictor projects every SEC team’s chances to make CFP in 2022

Many FBS teams around the country are still wrapping up their spring seasons. But, that won’t stop the projections about the 2022 season from rolling in!
This week, ESPN updated its College Football Playoff Predictor, giving 9 teams at least a 10% chance to make the field of 4 Playoff teams this fall.
Ohio State led the way with an 82.3% chance to make it. Alabama and Georgia checked in at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, leading 9 SEC squads with at least a chance to make the CFP field:
- Alabama — 79.3% chance
- Georgia — 73.5% chance
- LSU — 2.8% chance
- Auburn — 2.7% chance
- Texas A&M — 1.4% chance
- Ole Miss — 0.9% chance
- Kentucky — 0.5% chance
- Florida — 0.1% chance
- Mississippi State — 0.1% chance
The predictor gives Arkansas, Tennessee, Mizzou, South Carolina and Vanderbilt a 0% chance to make the field of 4 Playoff teams this fall.
