ESPN’s College GameDay will be in College Station in Week 1 for a top-25 matchup between Texas A&M and Notre Dame.
College GameDay has been a Saturday morning staple of football fans for over 30 years now. On Thursday, ESPN released the lineup for the hit show this weekend, and it’s one fans won’t want to miss.
Lee Corso will return to the GameDay set to make his 414th headgear pick. Special guests will include former Aggie/NFL star Von Miller and College Football Playoff executive director Rich Clark. A musical performance will be provided by singer-songwriter Dylan Gossett, and Johnny Manziel will be the guest picker.

The GameDay crew is once again stateside after being in Ireland for the Week 0 game between Georgia Tech and Florida State. The game between the Aggies and Fighting Irish is one of the few games between ranked teams in Week 1, so College Station was an easy choice. The other ranked games on the Week 1 slate are Georgia vs. Clemson and LSU vs. USC.
Heading into the game, the Aggies are favored by 3 points at home via DraftKings. Both the Aggies and Irish underwent significant roster changes this offseason, so this should be an interesting game. The two teams will kick off from College Station at 7:30 pm ET on Saturday.
Bryce Lazenby covers college football for Saturday Down South. A Nashville native, his previous stops include FanSided, Dimers, and The Leaf-Chronicle.
