Every SEC will be in action this weekend, either battling it out with another conference opponent or taking on a foe outside the SEC.
There is a fair number of intriguing contests, from Arkansas’ trip to Baton Rouge to battle for the Golden Boot against LSU, to Alabama’s dangerous outing with Mississippi State in Starkville.
But nothing tops the long-anticipated showdown between Georgia and Auburn. This one has all the makings of a classic in the Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry, and it also could very well have College Football Playoff implications.
Which teams will be favored to win these match ups? ESPN’s Football Power Index should give some indication.
Here are the FPI projections for all of this weekend’s SEC games:
- Florida at South Carolina — South Carolina favored at 68.8 percent
- Arkansas at No. 24 LSU — LSU favored at 88.2 percent
- Louisiana-Lafayette at Ole Miss — Ole Miss favored at 91.8 percent
- No. 1 Georgia at No. 10 Auburn — Auburn favored at 51.4 percent
- Kentucky at Vanderbilt — Kentucky favored at 50.1 percent
- No. 2 Alabama at No. 16 Mississippi State — Alabama favored at 81.8 percent
- New Mexico at Texas A&M — Texas A&M favored at 93.0 percent
- Tennessee at Missouri — Missouri favored at 64.6 percent
