No. 19 Auburn is on a bye this week after pounding Arkansas 52-20 in Fayetteville on Saturday.
The Tigers now have two weeks to prepare for their next game — a road trip to Texas A&M on Nov. 4 (which, by the way, the road team has won every year since the Aggies joined the SEC in 2012).
With four games remaining on the schedule, including home dates against No. 3 Georgia and No. 1 Alabama, Auburn (6-2, 4-1 SEC) has a chance to make a lot of noise in the race for the SEC.
ESPN’s Football Power Index projects the Tigers to finish the season with just one more loss. It favors Auburn against Georgia, but not against Alabama in the Iron Bowl.
Here are Auburn’s projected chances to win its next four games, according to the FPI:
- at Texas A&M — 79.5 percent
- vs. Georgia — 55.7 percent
- vs. Louisiana Monroe — 98.8 percent
- vs. Alabama — 28.2 percent
