All eyes are on Jackson Arnold as he returns to Norman for a highly anticipated showdown against his former team, the Oklahoma Sooners. Both teams enter this matchup with perfect records of 3-0, eager to maintain their momentum for another week.

But who holds the upper hand in this one? According to ESPN’s FPI projections, it appears that Brent Venables’ squad has the advantage with a 65.3% chance of victory over Hugh Freeze‘s Auburn Tigers.

The Tigers are riding high after a 31-15 victory over South Alabama, where Jackson Arnold showcased his prowess by amassing 500 passing yards. Meanwhile, Jermiah Cobb dazzled on the ground with an impressive 314 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns on 46 carries.

On the other side, John Mateer has emerged as the key player for the Sooners’ offense, racking up 9 all-purpose touchdowns while completing 68% of his pass attempts. With 161 rushing yards under his belt, he ranks second on the team behind Tory Blaylock, who leads with 166 yards.

Historically speaking, OU dominates the series with a perfect record of 3-0 against Auburn. Their last meeting was particularly memorable. Linebacker Kip Lewis made headlines by returning an interception for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, sealing Oklahoma’s first-ever SEC victory, 27-21.

Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET in Norman on Saturday.
