ESPN’s FPI is reacting to all the action from Week 6 of the college football slate with some updated odds to make the College Football Playoff. We are right around the halfway point of the regular season, and already there are a few teams with better than a 50% chance of reaching the Playoff.

Oklahoma — on the heels of the dramatic upset of Texas — headlines the FPI’s odds to reach the Playoff. The Sooners are given more than a 70% chance of reaching the CFP and have just one remaining game against a currently ranked opponent.

Ohio State is also above the 50% mark according to the FPI projections after a 20-point win over Maryland. Two-time defending champ and current No. 1 Georgia is third on the FPI projections while Oregon rounds out the top 4.

Other teams still heavy in the hunt for the top 4 include Texas and Alabama, a pair of 1-loss teams. Here are the top 10 teams in updated CFP odds per the FPI:

  • Oklahoma — 71.3%
  • Ohio State — 52.4%
  • Georgia — 41.5%
  • Oregon — 40%
  • Texas — 32.1%
  • Alabama — 29.6%
  • Michigan — 28.8%
  • Penn State — 27.2%
  • Florida State — 26%
  • Washington — 22.8%

While that is the FPI’s outlook, Georgia is still the betting favorite in the national championship odds with Michigan hot on the heels of the Bulldogs. OSU and FSU round out the top 4 betting favorites for the national title. Fans can head to BetMGM to get in on the action!
